The opportunity



IMDEX/AMC Europe GmbH is experiencing high level growth and we are seeking an outstanding Technical Sales Representative to drive the expansion of our client portfolio. The successful candidate will focus on identifying and securing new and ongoing business promoting to market and promote the AMC business within Germany and Europe.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing current and prospective AMC customers in the Waterwell, HDD and Civil sector. Travel forms a significant requirement of this position.

 

This is a career defining position for an exceptional applicant. You will maintain an up-to-date client data base and prepare marketing strategy plans. Additional duties include:


  • Liaising with existing clients to provide information on new technology and products and ensure that existing products are meeting customer demands.
  • Identifying prospective customers and arranging meetings to market AMC products and services with a specific emphasis on the Waterwell, HDD and Civil Industry.
  • Negotiating prices and service conditions with customers
  • Providing field service support to clients by way of direct participation on-site.
  • Preparing drilling fluid design documents and arranging for the distribution of product to site.
  • Visiting operating sites to ensure that products are working in line with specifications attending to queries and technical issues raised by customers.

 

 

To be successful

 

The successful candidate will have exceptional Sales / Account management skills with significant experience of drilling fluids engineering and Solid’s Removal Equipment. It is essential to have a strong understanding and working knowledge of AMC’s products and services. The key to being successful in this position is your outstanding communication skills, collaborative working style with our high performing team, proven client management experience and passion for driving growth. Additional requirements include:


  • A minimum of 4 years' experience in a similar role
  • Ability to initiate and develop strong relationships and manage stakeholder expectations.
  • Willingness to travel to HDD and Civil Engineering sites
  • Excellent planning, organisational, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication in German and English with the ability to translate complex technical information to non-technical and technical employees alike.
