Lummus Novolen Technology GmbH (Novolen) has been a licensor in the field of polypropylene for over 50 years. TECHNICAL PROPOSALS SPECIALIST (m/f/d)

In Mannheim we are looking for a Proposals Specialist (m/f/d) to join our Project Execution and Plant Services team at earliest date possible.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Development of customized technical proposals including quality and content such as determination of plant layout, process description, PFDs, sized equipment list, NPV and capital cost estimation, process guarantees
Analysis of information received from Request for Proposal (RFP) and from Licensing Department
Coordination and lead of internal meetings to determine the type of RFP response, content of deliverables and sales strategy
Close collaboration with different departments to collate the final proposal
Management and monitoring of timelines and milestones from initiation to delivery to meet the RFP
Technical discussion and representation of the company in both F2F meetings and video conferences
Support of Licensing Department during the entire sales process
Ongoing proposal process simplification efforts and tool development to drive productivity gains

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Process Engineering
At least 5 years of experience in process engineering, project work, licensing and / or preparation of technical proposals in the petrochemical industry
Experience in polymer technology is advantageous
Customer focus
Fluent in English, written and spoken
Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills to enable an effective interface to people with different cultural backgrounds
Ability to react quickly to changes during the proposal stage
Ability to work on a self-initiated basis
Teamplayer in an international company
