The Department:
The Manufacturing, Science and Technology (MSAT) organization within Pharma Operations in Penzberg is responsible for support and service for the routine production of active pharmaceutical ingredients. In addition, the function drives tech transfers and supports the transformation into a true and reliable launch site in close cooperation with our development colleagues, the clinical supply centers and/ or other manufacturing sites.
In order to fulfill our mission in the best possible way, we are looking for an Head (f/m/d) of MSAT who understands to drive new topics through team spirit, respect and trust.
For that we are looking for an experienced manager with inspiring leadership skills.

Leadership and People Management:

Make it happen: As a site leadership team member, drive collaboration within site and across network activities, cross-functional planning, and decision making
Connect: Collaborate with the Internal Manufacturing Network and site partners to ensure overall PTM production strategy and commitments are met
Technical:
Follow the science: On the compliant delivery of tech transfers, pilot plant activities as well as other technical services related to process engineering and validation programs
Continuously improve: Develop, prioritize and drive continuous improvements and other readiness operational maintenance activities that reduce safety risks, operational costs, lead times, and scrap/discrepancy rates across all aspects of production
Go, see firsthand and understand: Establish oversight to ensure production is performed in conformance with license requirements, cGMPs, and global Health Authority expectations, and represent state of compliance during Health Authority inspections
Empower and take ownership: Provide technical support to manufacturing organization that includes process science and product monitoring, master data and documentation management, compliance to Roche quality systems, and other readiness operational support activities
Act now: Serve as a core member of the relevant Technical Council, provide site contributions to network technology roadmaps, ensure funding and execution of assigned projects on the respective site level

As a manager, you can influence, inspire and convince at all hierarchical levels
You have an academic degree
You possess fluent verbal and written communication skills in German and English
You have 12 or more years work experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry, 6 or more years of people management experience and 4 or more years manufacturing/production or related experience in the pharmaceutical industry
You have well-founded expert knowledge of what is important for the operation of pharmaceutical production facilities
You have a distinct understanding of quality and work excellently with the quality department
You have strong creative leadership skills according to the Visionary, Architect, Coach, Catalyst (VACC) model and shown ability to build forward-thinking outlook; remove barriers, develop people and technical capabilities; build an environment which enables people to perform at their best
