Our Service team is growing, and we are looking to add to our talented team of Field Service Engineers to look after Pall customers in Germany, carrying out the installation, validation, calibration, maintenance, diagnostics and repair of Pall Biotech equipment at our Customer sites.
The role:
- The Field Service Engineer position is responsible for the service and support of Pall’s customer base. Responsible for repair, installation, maintenance and calibration of Pall Corporation equipment at customer sites.
- Predominantly covering Germany with some cover/travel to other parts of EMEA.
- Customer Happiness - Increased efficiency, decreased downtime, regular Calibration and Preventive Maintenance, regular upgrades.
- FSE’s are responsible for adding Service Calls into Pall’s Service Management System, scheduling own visits and closing service calls at completion.
- Drives a sense of ownership to ensure customer needs are addressed promptly and with an emphasis on a “first time fix”.
- Training customer personnel in operation/maintenance of Pall Systems
- Supporting sales growth, service growth and customer happiness by identifying leads for new equipment and services. Able to handle customer accounts and understand where Pall can add more value by offering extra services.
- Completion of weekly scheduling reports and participation in all Team calls.
Experience, Education/Qualifications:
- Qualifications in a mechanical or electrical engineering subject area (or Military equivalent) would be preferred or equivalent experience
- 3 to 5 years maintenance/servicing experience - ideally with some field based experience
- Strong English and German language skills
- Electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical troubleshooting, theory and application
- Strong deductive reasoning and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and valid current passport required.
- Residing in a commutable distance to a main airport – ideally based in central Germany
- Willingness to travel - 80% of the role would be with customers onsite with overnight stays depending on the location.
- Able to identify, own and track issues with an account, according to call procedure, to reach resolution.
- Computer literate
- Commercial experience, experience of or willingness to identify leads and promoting products or services
- Encouraging of other FSE’s and service team members.
- Inclination and ability to listen to client partners (e.g. Customers, Sales, Customer Service) and generate meaningful insights.
- Deliver results while quickly adapting to changing priorities and unforeseen challenges.
- Good at prioritising daily activities and possesses the drive and motivation to take action, resolving issues requiring immediate attention.
- Strong Interpersonal and Communication skills - able to remain calm
- Good documentation practices and basic knowledge/understanding of GMP.
- Great at adapting, flexible and understanding of change. Able to think quickly and respond positively to any changes.
