As a Commercial Legal Counsel you will provide legal support in all kind of matters, from non-complex to complex nature and with different level of risk.Let us describe the challenge we offerWe have an exciting opportunity for a legal counsel who can work within a fast-paced and challenging start-up organization. In this role, you will join a small, dynamic team of in-house lawyers who focus on creative and proactive legal guidance in starting up a new car brand. You will play an important role in the Polestar team by supporting the company in its growth and expansion with a particular focus on Germany as well as our other German speaking markets. Here, you will report to Polestar’s General Counsel and be part of the Polestar Global Legal Team. Preferably, you will be located at our German office in Cologne, but other suitable locations can be discussed if you are the right candidate. Other locations could be Zürich Switzerland or Vienna Austria.What you will doAs a Commercial Legal Counsel you will provide legal support in all kind of matters, from non-complex to complex nature and with different level of risk. Your support includes e.g. drafting of all types of contracts and legal documents, negotiation, legal research and advice, risk assessments, supervision of external legal advisors, legal training, corporate governance, compliance and ethics.You will handle matters independently and with full responsibility. Polestar has a global footprint and you will be interacting and collaborating with a diverse and international team of colleagues in all areas of the business. This is one of the most exciting legal counsel jobs of today!Who you areYou have worked 5-7 years as a lawyer at a law firm or as an in-house legal counsel, handling various commercial legal matters. You are a generalist with a broad experience, preferably within both B2B and B2C. You are able to translate legal advice into useful business actions. Fluency in German both written and orally is a must and as part of an international business, you are also expected to be fluent in English.You are energized by working at a fast pace and by taking on all types of challenges – big and small – in a truly dynamic environment.
